The Get Active initiative has been hosted in Sydney for the past 4 years and aims to provide the community with a free, interactive sports, health and lifestyle festival to encourage Queenslanders to Get Active by participating in a variety of sports and activities.
Queensland Handball has committed to participate in this event to promote the game and the clubs. We need your support to help run the stall and to organise mini games. We also need volunteers to participate in demonstration games.

Junior Fundraising Evening
The junior fundraising evening was being held on the 18th of May. From early reports it was a great night and a resounding success. Many thanks to Rosa Boyd and all who supoprted the event. Stay tuned for more news from the evening soon.
National Junior Women's Team Camp
The first Open National Junior Women’s Camp will be held in Sydney on 25th to 27th of May.
Interstate players will be billeted by Sydney based players.

Oceania World Championship Qualification Tournament
The Australian Handball Federation in cooperation with the International Handball Federation, proudly presents the Oceania World Championship Qualification Tournament 2007 for Women, to be held in Sydney, 5 - 9 June 2007.
The Sqaud for this tournament includes Queenslanders Courtney Gahan who has recently returned from playing in Denmark, Rosa Boyd and Mary Kelly. Ex Queensland residents in the team include Raelene Boulton, Kathy Kent, Katia Boyd who are all currently palying in Sweden. Check out the website at http://handballpacificcup.com/.
2007 Junior and Youth World Championships
The Australian Handball Federation is planning on sending teams to the 2007 IHF Junior and Youth World Championships. If you would like to register you interest and receive information on selection, please email the AHF Junior Program Manager, Andres Olascoaga at ndentertainment@optusnet.com.au.
Cook Islands Pacific Cup Tour
QTHA is keen to find our if we have sufficient interest to send U16 & U18 Boys and girls team to the cup, which is scheduled to run 15-19 December 2007. If you are over 18 and the Cook Islands sounds like a good place to be in December make sure you register your interest as well. We have the opportunity for some social games with the Cook Islanders and we are encouraging anyone who is interested to come.
